How This Course Works
These are required texts for this course:
Marieb & Hoehn, 2020. Anatomy & Physiology (7th Ed. ISBN 9780135168042 – or – 6th Ed. ISBN 9780134712437)
Newton, 2020 Lecture Notes for Human Anatomy & Physiology – Biology 32. **Provided for you by the college.**
Newton, 2020 Laboratory Exercises for Human Anatomy & Physiology – Biology 32. **Provided for you by the college.**
Your lecture and lab will take place in person. You should have received a "welcome email" from me with your exact meeting rooms and times. Otherwise, check your insideBC or email me!
This class is information INTENSIVE. It will require a SIGNIFICANT amount of studying. It is recommended that you spend 2 hours outside of class for every 1 hour of class time dedicated to studying. That would amount to TWENTY+ hours a week of studying ON TOP of your regular coursework (Shoot for 16 hours at the VERY least). This is not meant to scare or intimidate you, but it is to prepare you. This class takes a great amount of dedication, but I will help you any way I can along the way.

Teaching Philosophy
Bottom line: We are in this together. Each person in the classroom brings a unique perspective that is valuable in the learning experience. As your instructor, I strive to create a space where each student feels safe to share their ideas, communicate, and know that their contributions matter. Anatomy and Physiology is an endlessly interesting but challenging topic, I hope that we can work together to make this semester a fulfilling and positive experience for all in our course community.
