PAL and Discord

PAL

Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) is a group study program offered through BC. These groups are lead by a student who has previously taken, and excelled in, Biology B32. This student works closely with me to create review content for you specific to my course. They are also actively incorporating many types of successful study techniques that you will most definitely need if you have never taken a course of this caliber before. PAL's sessions are typically offered 1-2 times per week.

I am sure you have heard that there is a lot of content coming your way this semester! The best way to ensure success is to take advantage of all the support offer to you! Updated information for PAL sessions will be posted to the Canvas homepage.

Discord

Every student enrolled in this course has access to our Discord Server. Discord is a free, group-chatting platform originally built for gamers, but it has since become popular for many kinds of communities. All 4 sections of my Bio 32 course (100+ students) will have access to this server. It is meant to create an active community so that we may all help each other successfully make our way through Bio 32 this semester!

You can download the app to your computer, phone and/or smart device or you can use it in a web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) The link to access the Discord server will be found on the Canvas homepage.
